Beautiful summers night so we decided to go somewhere nice for tea and the setting at the harbour wine bar seemed the perfect spot. We waited a few minutes before a waitress came to seat us although the restaurant was far from busy. Drinks were served fairly quickly and the menu looked promising. My husband settled on a steak while I chose the chicken stuffed with applewood smoked cheese serve on a bed of mash. We waited for 25 minutes before the meal arrived The steak was served with a bit of lettuce and 1 slice of tomato. The accompanying chips were over done and cold. The steak itself was fine but heh! you can hardly go wrong! The chicken stuffed with cheese just didn't happen as there was not the slightest hint of cheese in the dish. In fact it tasted like left-over sunday dinner re-heated and covered with gravy. No-one came to check if everything was ok with the meal. When the waitress came to collect theplatesl I asked her if the chicken was supposed to be stuffed with cheese. She apparently relayed my comment to the chef and returned to advise me that there was plenty of cheese in it!!!!. We weren't offered a dessert menu although we were asked if we wanted anything else. We declined the offer. Normally we would at least ask to see the dessert menu, order another drink and order two coffees. This is also the first time we have left a restaurant without leaving a ten per cent tip. I would definitely not be recommending this restaurant to anyone for either the quality of the meal or the efficiency of service. A beautiful location with so much potential so badly wasted.

Piri piri chicken and southern fried chicken , both meals very poor quality and quantity. Total lack of imagination with presentation. Frozen chips looked like the dregs of the bag. If you had cooked them at home they would have gone in the bin. One serving of green salad with each meal . Four pieces of southern fried chicken . I have had larger portions as a starter. Chicken breast looked like an economy brand frozen breast. Waitress showed no interest in whether you enjoyed your meal or not and to cap it all they have the cheek to show you the goings on in the kithen on a large screen. Try dobbins instead not as many fancy furnishings but good quality food and friendly service we dont make a habit of complaining but this was one of the most dissapointing meals I have ever eaten.
