Went as a family for breakfast 14th Jan 2012.Husband and kids fries a success. My porridge tasted burnt and resembled wallpaper paste! Was supposed to be served with fruit and orange juice! Was served with grapes and "off"strawberries with not a drop of orange juice .Hot milk would have been more appropriate Won't hurry back and when i do defitely won't order porridge. You have been warned

Not for us, sorry, cant beat the windrose,,

We dont understand why restaurants show all these fancy looking plates on the web pages,

when you have it in front of you, well go to the bistro and see for your self.

we wont be back, oh bistro try serve cooked food on hot plates, some of us like that.

we went to the gallery bistro tonight at 5.30 sitting we were escorted to our table on the rear gallery looking out to the lough. beautiful. the reataurant was quite busy. the ambience was very relaxed and the use of colours on the tables lighting and hanging pictures large and small was very eye catching. we chose the chilli chicken starter which was so tasty followed by rib eye steaks and chunky chips with mushrooms and onion pallet teasers.. what a dish. probably the best steak weve ever had. the dessert was to die for...winter berries crumble.. with fresh cream...all the dishes were top class and for such a small establishment way better than lots of really fine more expensive restaurants weve been to over the past six months.the staff were so attentive and really accomodating if we needed it with the menu. overall our kind of place even for the food alone. thank you chef.. we will be back soon..
