Flame Restaurant, located in the heart of Belfast city centre, is a stylish and vibrant dining spot known for its theatrical open kitchen and contemporary décor. The restaurant’s centrepiece is its bespoke wood-fired grill, where chefs prepare prime cuts of meat, fresh seafood, and seasonal produce right in front of diners, adding a sense of drama and excitement to the experience.

The menu leans heavily on quality ingredients with an emphasis on steaks, which are dry-aged and cooked to perfection, but also features creative small plates, burgers, and vegetarian options. Flame is also known for its well-curated wine list and a cocktail menu that adds to the upscale yet approachable atmosphere.

Booking essential, but deservedly popular.

Pan-fried salmon meltingly delicate, with finely balanced flavours and well-chosen garnishings; on another occasion the tandoori salmon, robust spicing and full-flavoured flamed vegetables offset happily by the accompanying saucy trio and buttery naan. Excellent house whites. Desserts less secure, with a delightful crème brûlée but over-sweet prosecco and strawberry jelly, but easily forgiven for the genuine interest in our appreciation of the dishes.

Attentive and efficient service, with a good-humoured willingness to accommodate requests.

Highly recommended.
