Shocking altogther. Being offered desert wine as they claimed to not sell any of their half bottles of wine although still saying they do on the menu! Then being charged £5 for the most measley ol starters! Then followed by 2 main courses that I could have cooked better in my own home rather than fork out £12 or each dish! Totally unacceptable, will never be back an will certainly be telling as many people as I can of how bad the experience was!

A group of four of us ate here last weekend. The food was excellent and inventive. I particularly enjoyed the prawn and sorbet salad. The staff were attentive and prompt. I was impressed with the decor and the restaurant, although small, had a lovely atmosphere. I intend to return again soon and have recommended it to friends.

What a wonderful evening. We have just returned home to Belfast after having an evening at this restaurant. The staff were fantastic and attentive. The food was cooked to perfection there were four of us and everyone had something different from the menu. We really enjoyed seeing Barry at work in the kitchen and the boys learnt a few tips so looking forward to when they put them into practice. Thanks everyone we will be back. Carol, Belfast 30/7/11

My wife and I went last night 28.07.11 on the Groupon Offer. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful. We got into the kitchen (part of offer) to see our meal being prepared and got some good tips from the chef/owner on preperation and cooking of food. Good meals in pleasant surroundings. A different and pleasant experience which we both enjoyed. Others we spoke to on the night also enjoyed. No hesitation in recommending based on our experience.

Terrible, terrible, dined here in the evening, the food was terrible smothered in bland sauce, the monkfish was supposed to be fresh but had been frozen for a long time then overcooked. I guess the chef must have been on holiday. I did not eat or pay. Never again, spoiled my wifes birthday treat.

Fifth time visiting, yet again food was delicious and service was friendly. Great value for money, can't wait for another excuse to go.

well what can i say? the food was delicious, the young waitress was not the most hospitable her attitude was poor as if she could not be bothered. she almost ruined the dining experience for my husband and myself. we've been here a few times but it's not likely we'll be back!

i have just read some of the other reviews. I must say the decor is beautiful, with exception to the table covers. A clean and well decorated entrance and dining room. Our food was beautiful no complaints at all. The staff were very attentive. We plan to return very soon.

My husband an i ate here recently. the food delicious, steak was perfect and the service was first class. the waitress was friendly polite and helpful. it was my husbands birthday and the waitress went out of her way to put candles in the dessert. will definately be back.

group of 8 dined here, 4 of us got a lovely meal, 4 of us didn,t. seems to be a bit haphazard. the steak strips in stroganoff sauce, pork medallions in a wild mushroom sauce, and lamb cutlets in a rosemary jus were all smothered in the same dark brown gravy!- not what you'd expect in an establishment claiming to be a taste of ulster! lamb cutlets sent back, asked for medium rare-(grilled lightly on outside,- pink in middle), got grey, greasy chops with fat not cooked, when they came out again, they were swimming in the afore mentioned brown gravy and inedible, waitress laughed the complaint off, told us we should have went somewhere else, dont worry we will

Jaded surroundings, especially the naff paper tablecloths - staff were very welcoming and the food was not bad but all overdone. If this restaurant was supposed to be run by enthusiastic amateurs it would score highly but you could not add it to a list of gourmet establishments. Was ok, but won't be back.
